It was one of the hardest days in my journey as a pediatrician.
A 4-month-old baby was rushed into my hospital in an emergency. A healthy baby… full of life, full of hope…
But fate had other plans.
Despite all our efforts, we couldn’t bring the baby back.
Cause: Sudden Infant Death due to milk aspiration.
A baby who was feeding, safe in the arms of love, suddenly lost their breath… and just like that, a beautiful life ended too soon.
My heart is shattered.
As a doctor, I know not every battle can be won. But as a human, as a father, I feel a deep sorrow that words cannot describe.
Let this be a reminder to all parents — please be cautious while feeding. Hold your baby upright, make sure they are alert, avoid overfeeding, and always burp them gently. These simple steps can save a life.
To the little angel who left too soon —
You will be remembered.
You mattered.
You are loved.
Rest in peace, little one 🕊️
